Wisdom is a universal blessing.

What a lovely surprise it was for me to join the Unlimited Voices Travel weekly chat yesterday morning and see so many familiar faces.  It brought back so many memories of so many lovely singing trips! So, one of those things I have been meaning to do for a long time, I eventually got round to doing yesterday as well……creating group email addresses! I know it’s not terribly exciting, but it was something I had just never got round to! I feel so good about myself! The simple things eh! I also had a few moments where I forgot about our current situation….I was sat in my garden (and I really know how lucky I am in that respect) and listened to the grass being cut, don’t know by whom or where, but was a lovely peaceful and relaxing sound! I also received two new books in the post; I can’t remember the last time I purchased books on line – so excited to receive Philip Gwynne Jones new Nathan Sutherland book and another Elly Griffiths, Dr Ruth Galloway story. I only recently discovered both of these authors and I really love the way they create interest, paint the picture, make the characters burst with life and describe their surroundings so beautifully. I would highly recommend both to you! I also had a little rant on Twitter last night about everyone who seems to want to express an opinion and particularly about those whose opinion is negative….I am a positive person and will always look for that in others…by all means have an opinion, but stop being rude….there is no place for it now or indeed ever! I am really looking forward to a family online chat tonight; hope the internet doesn’t have a wobble like last night! Keep safe everyone, stay well and sing like the world is listening!

  1. Hi Steve thanks to Linda who has shared your blog I’m pleased to tell you that my thoughts over the past week or so have been with you. I have been looking through the cd’s to identify songs for a future concert with Richard. There were some fabulous memories and it prompted me to look at photographs of our trips. Can’t believe I was so lucky to be involved and to share with a wonderful group of people in some most famous locations. I just remember feeling that our standard of singing grew out of all my expectations thanks to your expertise and coaching. Thank you.
Enjoy the rest and stay safe.
    Kind regards

  2. Just the same Steve we’ve all come to know and love – all those happy times we all had with SL and the amazing places we visited. Italy especially will remain a favourite with me. Enjoy the peace, the sound of silence and the moment. L

  3. My beloved MAESTRO STEFANO!
I can see you sitting in your garden (and yes, you are lucky indeed!) and listening to the “sound of Nature”.
Souvenirs of the many trips all over Italy but also Germany, Austria, Spain etc will always be in my memory.
Actually I still have a pic of you and Sophia in Barcelona Acquarium, hanging in my daughter’s room though she is now a Teenageer.. 🙂
I miss you, LInda (which I meet sometimes) and all SL friends’ and our night parties at hotels!

Italy is starting to “see the light at the end of the tunnel” today touching again the lowest numbers of infected, deaths and recovered.

Let’s all be strong, faithfull and positive.
    Stay safe and healthy

    Arrivederci, I hope, very soon!

  4. Hi Steve
Great blogs it was nice to hear from you leaving a message for us all past and present. This virus has affected us all in one way and another especially the likes of myself who lives alone and misses my singing and rehearsals. Your positively has really inspired me to keep going and eventually we WILL meet again soon.

  5. Sorry missed you on the chat Steve – technical glitch. I’m in Nottingham with sons family for the duration and keeping sane with choir on line! Please add me to any email lists you create and hope this is all sorted by September for your singing day x
